Family night at school

Family night for Hunter's school was very cute. It included the 2-day class and the 3-day class. The kids had been working really hard with teacher Kim to learn the gingerbread man story. After school Hunter would tell me the story of the gingerbread man and I thought it was so cool that he was learning it but it was really special when they all read it together for us parents. Then we had a potluck dinner but the kids were anticipating all the tables that had gingerbread houses on them. They had also made gingerbread houses for any siblings that wanted to come. It was one of those times that I am thankful for just the two kids. Sean and Hunter got to work on his house while I spent time with Brayden on his. It made each kid feel special that they had the full attention of one of us and there was no fighting. Brayden and Hunter did really well building their houses and Brayden ate most of it before we left. Hunter had a masterpiece to take home with him that he was extremely proud of.

Santa Train in North Bend

Since we have been going to see Thomas the Tank in Snoqualmie the past couple of years, we were notified of the Santa Train in North Bend. We decided to go with our friends Kati and Miguel and their two daughters, Kelbi and Peyton. It started snowing on our way there and the kids were really excited. It was a great way to get us all in the mood for Christmas. On the train they got everyone singing Christmas carols as we rode to Snoqualmie to see Santa. When we got off the train we went and had hot cocoa and cookies and then went to sit on Santas lap. Brayden wanted nothing to do with Santa but Hunter was so excited to tell Santa what he wanted. The kids slept on the way home from all the excitement of the day and us parents slept very well that night too.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving weekend Sean, Lotus and I went with our wheelin friends over to Elbe for some fun in the mud! We had a blast and there were a lot of injuries to everyone's jeeps and Lotus had a lot of fun.

MIA

So I haven't sat down and written anything since Thanksgiving. As I type right now I am downloading almost 500 pictures from Thanksgiving weekend through yesterday. I will try to summarize our last couple months of activities as best I can. We had wonderful holidays with the kids and our extended families and have been really thankful to start a new year. I will post some pictures here in just a few minutes.
Thanks to those of you who have stopped by.
With Love,
Jess
