Evans Creek

Sean's mom came and stayed the weekend with us so that Sean and I could go wheeling up at Evans Creek. This is the first place that I drove by myself and so I was feeling pretty confident. We had a beautiful day and the views were breathtaking, we even found some snow. On the last trail, I broke my steering and it was an awful noise. I ended up being winched up the rest of the trail which was a pain in the you know what! Todd, who we usually go wheeling with I have now nicknamed "MacGyver". He wracked his brain while they were pulling me up the trail as to how to get me down once we hit the road. He took a wrench and tied it with tie wire and then duct tape so I could get down the road and onto our trailer. It worked perfectly and I was able to drive Sean's Jeep home. It was a very fun day!

Sean going where the rest of us can't.

So pretty

Loving the weather today!!!!!!!

The weather was absolutely beautiful today! Hunter has been asking how long until summer because he wants to break out the sprinklers and the pool. He was so excited when I brought the sprinkler out and both the boys dove right in. Of course the shirts came off first and then the sandals and then the shorts. Before I new it I had two naked boys running around the yard, loving life. One of those special days to tuck into the memory banks of my children just enjoying life. Sean was not thrilled with the naked butt pictures but I told him all mom's have them of their kids and his mom reinforced this for me. He then told me that is why he doesn't like them. Oh well!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was really special for me this year! This year Hunter made me a very special bracelet at school. He made it on Tuesday and wrapped it on Thursday. We usually discuss preschool at dinner but he wouldn't talk about it this week. He took Sean outside and told him what he had done at preschool for me and he told me I couldn't know because it was a "surprise". I was VERY surprised when I saw the bracelet that he had made me and the card that was attached. He melted my heart when I read that he loves that I play with him. He told me that Teacher Kim asked him why he loved me and he told her because my mommy plays with me and because she snuggles with me in bed in the mornings. He told me that he had to pick one but he wanted to tell me the other. That's why it was such a special day for me, we just hung out at home and enjoyed each other and some bubbles. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my Mother's Day.
