Yesterday we spent the first half of the day running our errands at Costco, the grocery store and the pet store. Then we came home, had lunch and the boys went down for naps. While the boys were napping I washed my car and Sean's truck, then washed the dogs and then washed the floors. I was trying to keep myself busy while I was waiting to hear from Sean about whether or not they were going to come home or not. I finally heard from him around 5pm and he told me that they had been told around 10am that they were coming home because there wouldn't be anything to do for at least a week, then at 2pm they were told they were staying. I could tell he was really bummed about being in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do for a week, so I was positive for him and told him it would be okay. When I got off the phone I was really bummed because I had my hopes up that with nothing for the guys to do, they would send them home. Then Merrilee came over for some crafting and she brought a wonderful bottle of wine and we laughed and talked while the boys played. It ended up being a great night. Then I received an email from my other friend Julie asking if I needed her husband to come over and mow our lawn. I am very thankful for the friendships that I have made out here, it is comforting to know that there are people close by if you need them. I also have a great neighbor who has been checking in on me every couple days and I see them walking with their daughter here and there. I knew that there would be those days that I would be down about him being gone but it's hard when you find yourself there and don't know what to do to get out. I can thank my family and friends for being there just when I need them!
This morning I got everybody up because we were headed to my grandma's house so I could continue working on a waterfall and pond that I started for them. The kids and I were singing in the car and everybody was in good spirits and I thought I heard my cell phone ringing. When I answered it, it was Sean telling me he was coming home this weekend instead of next. My morning couldn't have gotten any better than that. So I will be picking him up in Purdy around 4pm on Thursday and he will fly out again Sunday morning but we will enjoy our time with him greatly!
Hey Pretty Lady,
ReplyDeleteHang in there. We are all here for you. I would love you and the boys to come up and I can cook dinner for you and the kiddos can play. How about some time next week? I am glad that Sean gets to be home for Father's Day. Love to you all. Let me know when you have some time.
Cindy
Hey Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It has been a trying time and I knew it would be so thanks for the invite. I saw that little Ryan is sick, I hope he's doing better now. We would love to come to your house and play, it would be a lot of fun but it might have to wait until after the 4th of July. We've got a lot of things planned for the next week and then Sean comes home again next Thursday. I hope that we will get to see you on the 4th, Julie mentioned that you guys were looking for something to do on the 4th. I would LOVE to spend it with all of you!! I am also hoping to see you at the play dates this summer. We'll chat and figure out a time to get the kids together.
Love,
Jess
