Brayden is 19 months today!

Brayden Matthew turned 19 months today and it has flown by so much faster than I feel like it did with Hunter. We are so busy with the two boys and our house is constantly in chaos with toys and laughter. In just a matter of weeks Hunter will be 4 years old and something has changed in both the boys recently. Before we were constantly splitting up fights between them, and of course we will continue to do that for a long time, but they have finally realized that they have a constant play buddy. Sean and I have just been sitting back at night and listening to them play together and they laugh and really enjoy each others company. Brayden really looks up to Hunter but he has a very strong mind of his own which does not let Hunter lead all their play. I am also very pleasantly surprised that for the most part Hunter is very patient with Brayden. Of course when they do fight it gets pretty heated but we are close by to break things up quickly.

It has been fun these past couple months that I get to have a couple hours a week of alone time during the morning with Brayden. We both are enjoying this time together and it's great to get to know Brayden on a one on one level without the boys having to compete for my attention. He is a very loving and very busy little boy. He has been learning a lot of new words and some of his favorites right now are, quack, car, choo-choo, and of course barking like a dog. It is special to me when we get our alone time because he is more vocal since Hunter is not around to answer for him. I had always heard that the older children answer for the younger ones but until you deal with it, it's hard to understand. He is a smart little guy and understands everything we ask of him and he has brought such joy to our household. The relationship that is forming between Hunter and him I will always enjoy watching and I will continue to encourage it with hope that they will become the best of friends.

He saw the muffin on the counter and climbed to get it. He is determined! One of the strong points of his personality that I hope we can teach him to use in a positive way.

He loves cars!!!!

We were playing this morning and he was laughing at himself.

We had this puzzle for Hunter and all kids love the animal noises.

When Sean got home from work the boys were playing with their tools and it was Brayden's turn with the electric screw driver. Brayden had the idea of how it worked and Sean helped him figure it the rest of the way out.

He was so proud and so was Hunter!
