Stamp Camp

I was really excited this weekend to go to a friend Denise's house for a get together with a bunch of other women. I was told to come up with a paper craft and bring supplies for 7 other people. I did not know what to expect and I searched paper crafting images on google until I found something I liked and then I looked up the blog and did a trial one. My project was a gift basket that I chose to put a jar of dry ingredients to make a cupcake in, I also made a soccer one for Hunter because he wanted a "boy" basket. The neat part was to send the instructions with the wet ingredients and the cupcake can be microwaved in the 8oz. jar, send some frosting and sprinkles and the birthday recipient can enjoy a cupcake. Another spin on it the lady decorated it in strawberries and sent jars of homemade jam.

A couple ladies couldn't make it so there ended up being just 6 of us. We made this beautiful mint and gray basket, a photo wallet, homemade cards with watercolor paper and embossing, a journal from paper lunch bags and another gift bag alternative from a paint can. I still have some work to do on the paint can, it is supposed to have cupcakes cut out around it and then you stamp cupcakes on the tissue paper, but I ran out of time. I learned so much about things that I have been wanting to learn and things that I had no idea were even out there. I have never gotten into stamps and embossing but I learned and enjoyed myself. It was a great group of women with some wonderful ideas and dreams. I had a fabulous time and can't wait for next year!
