We picked Sean up on Friday and we came home so that he could sleep for a couple of hours. While Brayden and him napped, Lotus played on the computer with her new club penguin membership and Hunter and I went out to play in the sprinkler. We all had a great night together as a family and we woke up Saturday and Sean and the kids played bubbles outside. Saturday I spent some time outside by myself picking weeds and it was nice to not have to worry about the kids and what they were doing or getting into. We all took naps and then had dinner together before our wonderful neighbors came over to watch the kids so that Sean and I could get away. We were very thankful to be able to have a date night, it feels like it has been a really long time, and it was nice to be able to talk and hear each other uninterrupted. We went to see the new Harry Potter movie and while we were waiting for it to start we went over and checked out the new toy store. On Sunday we went to celebrate Burl's birthday and then we took Sean back to the airport. We were all really exhausted but so thankful for our time with Sean.
The good news that came out of the weekend is that Malcolm doesn't have everything together to start the next phase of the job because they were not prepared for Sean to do so good drilling. They figured that he would be drilling into October and he does so well at his job and knows it so well that he only has a week of drilling left. As it looks right now, they do not have any supplies to go ahead with next years drilling so he will be coming home. There of course is the chance that he may be going back in September to continue drilling but it's either September or next summer.....so we will wait and see. I'm just looking forward to being able to share some of the summer with him.
